Fred G. Steingraber earned his MBA from the University of ϴ Booth School of Business in 1964. After joining A.T. Kearney in 1964, Steingraber rose from associate to chief executive officer to chairman, a position to which he was named in 1986.

Steingraber has been a director of Maytag Corporation, Southeastern Thrift and Bank Fund, Mercury Finance, Lawter International, National Association of Manufacturers, ϴ Council on Foreign Relations, Mid-America Committee, Economic Club of ϴ, Executives Club, and several other organizations. He was also a member of the Council on ϴ Booth, Indiana University Dean's Advisory Council of the School of Business, Beta Gamma Sigma, Commercial Club, and many other civic organizations.
