黑料传送门 Booth 黑料传送门 Email Accounts

黑料传送门 Booth is pleased to offer email services to our alumni. Our offerings are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain secure, reliable, and aligned with the latest technology standards.

黑料传送门 email address subdomains

As of March 1, 2024, alumni email addresses were transitioned to the subdomain of alumni.chicagobooth.edu. If you previously used an @chicagobooth.edu address, messages sent to your old address are forwarded to your new alumni address. However, forwarded emails may not always be reliably delivered. For the best experience, please share your current alumni.chicagobooth.edu address (or another preferred email) with your contacts.

Legacy alumni email services

黑料传送门 who graduated prior to June 2024 are offered Booth鈥檚 legacy alumni email service. This consists of a 15GB Gmail inbox on the @alumni.chicagobooth.edu subdomain with Google Drive. The 15GB storage limit includes both inbox contents and Google Drive contents.

If your account ever exceeds the storage limit of 15GB, you will be unable to send or receive email until you reduce your storage. Information on how to check your storage use is included below.

There is a minimal activity requirement of at least one login per year. Any account that does not meet this requirement will be deactivated. 黑料传送门 Booth reserves the right to delete deactivated accounts after one year unless arrangements are made between IT and the account holder. To keep your account active, simply login at least once per year.

Email services for new alumni

Graduates from June 2024 onward are offered a new alumni email service consisting of a 5GB Gmail inbox on the @alumni.chicagobooth.edu subdomain. These accounts do not include Google Drive.

If your account ever exceeds the storage limit of 5GB, you will be unable to send or receive email until you reduce your storage. Information on how to check your storage use is included below.

Staying in Touch

To ensure you receive all communications, we recommend using your alumni email account directly rather than forwarding messages to another address. Loss of email due to continued forwarding is the responsibility of the account holder. If you prefer to receive communications from 黑料传送门 Booth at a different email address, please

Managing Your Storage Use and Retrieving Files from Your Google Account

Checking Your Storage Use

To check your storage use, log in to Google, click your profile icon in the upper right corner, and select “Manage Your Google Account.” In the search bar at the top of your browser, type “account storage,” and it will show how much storage you are consuming and where it is being used (Gmail or Google Drive).

How to Export Your Google Drive Data from Google Workspace

Google is a native tool in Google to allow you to download your data. Visit Google's Support article on  for complete instructions on downloading your data with Google Takeout.

Google Takeout will export a zip archive file or multiple files. These are compressed files containing all your data, which can be unzipped for later use. It may take 12 or more hours to deliver your export, depending on how much data you have. While Booth IT does not directly support this process, here are a few tips to help you successfully export your data:

  • You can reduce the time it takes to export, as well as the size of the files, by doing some housekeeping in your account prior to exporting. Deleting old or unneeded files can help save time.
  • You will need to account for items that you may have shared in your Google Drive. Once you export these items, they will no longer be available to those with whom you've previously shared them. Plan for this ahead of time so critical shared documents are not lost.

  • In most cases, when customizing your export options, Destination should be Send download link via email, Frequency should be Once, and File type & size should be .zip and 2GB.
  • If the process fails, try reducing the file size specified to reduce the overall size of the archive.
  • If you are attempting to export/download a file whose size exceeds 2GB or a folder containing more than 500 files,  may provide an alternative.

Please note that Google’s Transfer Your Content feature will not work for alumni email accounts due to the authentication processes specific to these accounts.

How to Export Your Email Out of Gmail

Google Takeout also allows you to download your email data. See instructions above. You can also use several third-party backup tools. These allow you to create a local backup copy of your email content. Many of these tools also have a recovery option that will allow you to then import those emails into a different email account.
