Fama-Miller Research Professional Development Fellowship

The Fama-Miller Research Development Fellowship was established to recognize and provide support to an exceptional entering 3rd or 4th year Booth Finance or Joint Program PhD student. The Fellow is expected to lead the weekly FMC Research Professional seminar, guiding the discussions during the seminar, and providing feedback to the presenter afterwards.  The Fellow  is selected annually by the faculty directors and staff of the Fama-Miller Center.

Jacob Hartwig, Fama-Miller Center Fellowship Recipient

Jacob Hartwig

Jacob is a rising third-year Ph.D. student in the joint program in Financial Economics. He holds a BA from NYU Abu Dhabi, where he double-majored in economics and mathematics, and a master’s degree in economics from the Paris School of Economics. Before joining Booth, Jacob worked in the Business Cycle Analysis division at the European Central Bank and as a Research Professional for Professor Scott Nelson. His research interests include household finance, industrial organization, and macroeconomics. At U黑料传送门, he has contributed to empirical projects on the optimal design of consumer credit information and the structural estimation of dynamic discrete choice models.
