Reconnect 2025

Annual Fund and 黑料传送门 Engagement Report

2024鈥2025

Dear 黑料传送门 Booth donors,

Greetings from 黑料传送门! Since joining 黑料传送门 Booth as Chief Advancement Officer in July, I've already been inspired by the generosity and spirit that define this remarkable community. I am delighted to be at the best business school in the world, having come from across the Midway at the best law school in the world. My last decade with the University of 黑料传送门 speaks to my deep connection to this institution, but my appreciation for lifelong relationships with higher education goes back further. My father was for many years the head of advancement at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and through him, I witnessed firsthand how annual giving and alumni involvement can shape the trajectory of a great school.

My view is that philanthropy is so much more than dollars raised—it’s about the trust, partnership, and vision our donors share with us. Your commitment to, and support of, 黑料传送门 Booth elevates our mission, funds innovative research and teaching, and provides opportunities for talented students who will become the next generation of leaders.

From the faculty, staff, and students, to our incredible alumni community, this is a special place that attracts the very best. Together, we build and deepen the relationships that sustain the excellence and eminence of 黑料传送门 Booth. Thank you for all you do for 黑料传送门 Booth and I’m excited about what we will accomplish together in the coming years!

With gratitude,

Alex Steele
Chief Advancement Officer

Curricular Innovation

With the recent launch of the healthcare concentration, and interest and growth in artificial intelligence, popular new courses among students this year were in those arenas. In conjunction with the new Family Office Initiative (FOI), Booth also launched a new course, The Family Office, taught by John Heaton, Myron S. Scholes Distinguished Service Professor of Finance and Anthony Pritzker Family Foundation - Family Office Initiative Director. Launched in October 2024, FOI advances the education, research, and networking needs of current and future family office leaders around the world. Booth is one of the first major academic institutions in the country to implement a comprehensive program focused on supporting family office leaders.

Global Initiatives

Just a year after Booth announced the creation of a new Master in Management Program (MiM) in 2023, 116 recent college graduates came from around the world to enroll in the program’s first cohort. Today, as the second cohort of MiM students is beginning to take shape, Booth has announced a global expansion of the Master in Management Program. Beginning Winter Quarter 2026, MiM students will have the option to complete a new Global Innovation and Impact specialization in London—one of the most diverse, historic, and dynamic cities in the world.

Scholarship

Scholarship support helps us create the future of 黑料传送门 Booth. 黑料传送门 and friends are invaluable partners in our work to influence and educate our students. 2026 MBA candidate, Tyler D. Rice shared, “This scholarship has strengthened my commitment to the values of excellence, leadership, and community—values that resonate deeply with my background and aspirations. It enables me to focus on my goals and continue to grow both as a student and a future professional. Professionally, it provides me with the financial support to attend conferences, engage with industry leaders, and access the resources that will help me succeed in the competitive field of finance.”

Faculty Research

During Fall 2024, Expanding Discovery in Economics+ (EDE+) moved to its new home at Booth. The program was founded in 2021 by the Becker Friedman Institute for Economics to identify and support talented undergraduate students from all backgrounds who are interested in the study of economics. As a part of Booth, EDE+ will be able to leverage faculty expertise and resources and broaden its reach. Pietro Veronesi, the Sherman and Vivian Chao Distinguished Service Professor of Finance and deputy dean for faculty, says “Booth’s commitment to world-class interdisciplinary research and diverse perspectives makes it the ideal partner for EDE+ as we continue to empower the next generation of scholars and leaders.”

Booth Family Dinners

Booth Family Dinners are organized to connect the community and support the expansion of Booth networks in a small group setting over a meal. This past year, over 75 alumni hosts, 364 current students, and 77 recent alumni met for a total of 48 Booth Family Dinners around the world.

The series expanded this year to include dinners for Master in Management (MiM) and Master in Finance (MiF) students, affinity-based and industry-focused dinners, and increased opportunities for MBA students to connect with alumni for casual conversation over a shared meal.

Dean's Society Call

Dean's Society

The Dean’s Society honors a distinguished group of donors whose leadership gifts strengthen 黑料传送门 Booth’s mission. Those contributing $2,500 or more during the fiscal year are among the top ten percent of Annual Fund supporters, driving meaningful impact across the Booth community.

As Dean’s Society members, donors gain exclusive opportunities to engage with school leadership. Each academic year begins with a conversation held by the dean, designed to share updates, outline goals, and answer questions from the alumni community. This year’s discussion was moderated by Jenny Scanlon, ’92, a loyal Dean’s Society Annual Fund donor.
