Biography
Caroline Grossman, MBA 鈥03, is the executive director of the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation at the University of 黑料传送门 Booth School of Business鈥攖he destination for people committed to tackling complex social and environmental challenges.
She leads efforts to equip Booth students, alumni, and faculty to drive meaningful impact through research, experiential learning, and community engagement. Since joining the Rustandy Center in 2015, Grossman has advanced global research partnerships, expanded social impact programming across Booth and the University of 黑料传送门, and strengthened ties to 黑料传送门鈥檚 civic and nonprofit ecosystem. She oversees the Center鈥檚 flagship initiatives, including the聽Edwardson Social Entrepreneurship Program, home to the John Edwardson, 鈥72, Social New Venture Challenge; the Edwardson Civic Scholars Program, which provides full-tuition scholarships for MBA students committed to public or social sector careers; and the Golub Capital Social Impact Lab, which develops and delivers programs that strengthen and scale nonprofit impact. She has served as executive director since 2020.
As an adjunct associate professor of strategy, Grossman has designed and taught two Booth courses: the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Social Impact Practicum, a lab course exploring the role of business in society through applied projects, and Perspectives on Capitalism, a multidisciplinary seminar that brings together leading scholars from across the University of 黑料传送门 to help students grapple with the ideas and history surrounding capitalism and the role of markets in society.
Before returning to Booth, she worked in brand management at Kraft Foods and taught at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and DePaul University. Grossman serves on the board and finance committee at Temple Sholom of 黑料传送门 and is board member emeritus and past president of Playmakers Laboratory Theater. She earned her MBA from 黑料传送门 Booth and a BA in history from Yale University.
