Anthony Welsch

Biography

Anthony Welsch's research interests are in corporate taxation, multistate taxation, and tax administration using archival, field experimentation, and survey methods.听 He aims to produce research with practical insights that can assist policymakers, governmental agencies, managers, and other researchers. Welsch鈥檚 current research primarily focuses on multistate taxation, with an emphasis on examining taxpayer behavior, business investment, and fiscal outcomes. He also has an interest in government accounting and finance.

Prior to pursuing a PhD, Welsch worked professionally as a CPA for six years performing state & local tax compliance and consulting services.听

Welsch received a PhD in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.听 Additionally, he earned a Master of Accountancy and a B.S. in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.听听
